How to fix a broken LED driver?

 

Defective boards are visually judged with the naked eye to see if there are any short-circuited conductors such as tin beads or tin slugs on the surface, if there are any parts that are poorly soldered, and if there are any burnt or damaged parts.

Measure the input power of the constant current module. 100VDC, 12VDC are normal. If the input voltage is too low or no voltage, it means the AC/DC power supply is protected or damaged.

If the AC/DC supply voltage is normal, measure the voltage across the LED strip. If the voltage across the LED light is about 190VDC, it means the driver module is normal. Please check whether the connection of the LED strip is loose or the connecting wire is broken. If it looks good, it means the LED strip is damaged.

 

If the AC/DC power voltage is normal and the LED strip is connected correctly but the strip still does not light up, you should check the following items:

1) Whether the voltage at Pin4 of the constant current IC is 12VDC +/- 1V, otherwise it means the AC/DC power supply is damaged.

(2) When the voltage of constant current IC pin2 is 6.6VDC±0.5V and the voltage of pin12 is 0.5V, if this voltage is normal, the constant current IC is normal, and conversely, the constant current IC is destroyed. It means that (3) Check the shift tube. If the shift tube is not damaged, check the shift tube with 0.068 ohm and 0.047-ohm resistance to see if the road is visible or destroyed.

Test

If the above steps do not solve the error, you should check the EN signal part, short the Pin5 and Pin3 of the constant current IC with a wire after the performance test, and see if the LED strip can light up normally. If there is a problem with the EN signal, check the AC/DC power adapter to make sure the EN signal is good.
