Lighting control for existing LED lighting

With the IP20-protected CASAMBI CBU-TED phase-section dimmer for dimmable high-voltage consumers, you can expand your existing (LED) lighting easily, and then conveniently control, group, and dim it with your smartphone and tablet, or with the normal light switch. The maximum output power of the CBU-TED is 150 W at 230 VAC and 70 W at 110 VAC. The CASAMBI module can easily be integrated into your existing lighting system – whether into simple LED lighting (light bulb or halogen spot replacement / retrofit) or complex applications with electronic LED ballasts. Once you start the app (iOS + Android), all connected CASAMBI modules in the reception area will be detected. The devices form a continuous mesh based on the extensive and energy-saving standard Bluetooth 4.0. The app offers you a wide range of control options, such as switching and dimming all the lights, groups of luminaires or individual lamps, and calling scenes. You can also call scenes and set the switch-on dimming level with an optional mains switch. Up to 255 different scenes can be created using the phase section dimmer, each scene containing up to 127 CASAMBI units. All luminaires in a scene can have different dimming values, colors or color temperatures. A timer function is available for automatic on and off switching of scenes.

Human Centric Lighting for enhanced well-being

Daylight-dependent control of the light, also called circadian light control, is also possible via the Casambi app. Using the appropriate luminaires, the respective rhythm can be selected by a quick and easy adjustment which makes the lighting imitate the natural course of sunlight : an ideal solution for halls and offices with low daylight or multi-layered industries. Circadian light control – also known as human centric lighting (HCL) – strengthens the ability of employees to concentrate, thus improving their work results, and ensures healthier employees and fewer accidents. The module can be installed behind the mains switch in a deep flush box, in a luminaire or in the connection canopy.

The CBU-TED can also be combined with a motion detector instead of a mains switch. CASAMBI is compatible with “nimbus light control”, “Jäger DIRECT Opus” and “RIDI SmartControl”.
